Yesterday was another huge day at our Brisbane campus. We had 33 new students come in to prepare to start their General English classes. We are all very excited to see our new students progress through their journey at Lexis Brisbane and are so happy to have them all as members of the Lexis family.
Another big week here at Lexis Brisbane with 26 new students starting today. These students will be studying in our General English course and spent the morning preparing for their classes tomorrow. As the students at Lexis Brisbane know, there is always something exciting happening in Brisbane. So, what’s on in Brisbane this weekend? Only one of the biggest events of the year, Riverfire! People from all over our wonderful city will come to watch this spectacular fireworks display.

Friday is graduation day at Lexis Brisbane! Today, we said goodbye to three of our wonderful students. Yasser and Luciano graduated from our General English course and Ruka graduated from our IELTS preparation course. It is always so sad to say goodbye, however, we are very excited to see all of the great things that these students do in the future. Congratulations on all of your hard work and your graduation!
It’s Monday so that means Lexis Brisbane has another wonderful group of new starters for our General English course. Our lovely new starters are ready to get stuck into their new classes and we can’t wait to see their English skills progress.
Friday means graduation day here at Lexis Brisbane! We are all sad to say goodbye to seven of our wonderful students. Fuka, Yuina, Haley, Nagisa, Joe and Victor all graduated from our General English courses today and Juliana graduated from our IELTS preparation course. We all wish our graduates the very best in all of their future endeavours!
Wednesday the 10th of August is a public holiday in Brisbane to celebrate the Ekka.
This Saturday marks the start of the Royal Queensland Show. Affectionately known as the Ekka, the Royal Queensland Show is an annual event that attracts 400 000 visitors each year. The Ekka aims to bring the country and city together to celebrate Queensland’s agriculture. Visitors can enjoy award-winning food, rides, show bags, animals and performances.

At Lexis Brisbane, we have a hard working group of students part-taking in our Cambridge exam preparation course which is taught by Alison. A lot of students don’t know about the Cambridge exams or our Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) course so I sat down with teacher Alison to ask some common questions.
