Noosa – Graduation – 31st October

On Friday we sadly said goodbye to two of our lovely students.

Congratulations to our graduating students Eduardo and Alessandra. Alessandra was absent for the graduation but we still had the chance to say goodbye to Eduardo.

These two students are very loved in our school and have both been here for over 10 weeks, so we are sad to see them go.

As their time at Lexis Noosa ends, we are wishing them all the best for the next chapter in their life.

Below is a photo of Eduardo’s Upper Intermediate class that he is graduating from. He has been a pleasure to teach and his English skills have improved in all areas.

Alessandra is graduating from the Advanced class. Seeing her progress over her time here has been amazing and we wish her the best on her journey back home to Switzerland.

The Lexis Noosa team has enjoyed watching both of the students improve their English and we wish them the very best for their future.

Noosa – Fascinating snake and reptile show – 28th September

This week our students attended a snake and reptile show!

Many people fear Australia due to some of the animals that we have living in our country. Well, this week the students had the opportunity to face their fears and learn that actually, some are not as scary or as deadly as most first think.

This week our teachers gave the students a little break from class to go and see a snake and reptiles show that was happening close to our campus. During the presentation, the students were shown three different species of snakes and three different species of lizards. A fun fact we learnt at the show was that only 3-4 people die from a snake bite per year! A lot less than most people expect.

The students learnt so much about some of our Australian snake and lizards while being able to have a close look at them too. After the presentation, the students had the opportunity to hold a snake! Some of the students were brave, others watched them be brave from afar.
None of these snakes were dangerous and all of the species that were shown are common Australian pets.

Some of the reactions and facial expressions were priceless!

The students loved the seeing the show and getting up close and personal with the animals (well most of them). It was a perfect way to introduce them to some of the native Australian animals and add to their studying experience in Australia!

Lexis Noosa delivers academic excellence in Australia’s most desirable study location where, even in winter, you can combine your studies with the great outdoors. Studying at Lexis Noosa is more than an experience, its a lifestyle! If you want more information on the courses that we offer, click here.
