Fun Activities at Lexis Brisbane – Ferries on the Brisbane River, Night Fest Food Festival, Tote-bag painting & trying food from around the world!
Our time last week at Lexis Brisbane – At Lexis, we believe that every experience is a chance to learn and grow. Our social activities bring students together through fun, creativity, and cultural connection — helping them strengthen their English, embrace the Australian lifestyle, and build friendships that last a lifetime.
From breathtaking views of the city along the river to delicious bites at Brisbane’s NightFest Food Festival, students enjoyed a vibrant mix of experiences—unleashing their creativity during our tote bag decorating afternoon and wrapping up the week with an International Lunch. The diverse range of activities offered something for everyone, allowing students to practice English in real-world settings, make new friends, and soak up Brisbane’s stunning scenery—creating memories they’ll never forget. 
New Farm Park & Powerhouse:
This week, we soaked up the sun at one of our favourite parks in Brisbane! We took a 20-minute scenic ferry along the river, admiring Brisbane’s skyline. We discovered the park glowing in purple, with Jacarandas in full bloom. Students had a fantastic time chatting, taking photos, enjoying the sun and playing some entertaining group games. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to experience the true charm of Brisbane city!
NightFest Food Festival:
Staged at the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse, the annual NightFest has arrived, and our students had a wonderful time trying different foods and discovering the amazing art that was showcased!
Tote-bag decorating:
Creativity was flowing during our tote bag decorating session! Students had the chance to unleash their artist by designing and personalising their own reusable bags with paints, glitter, colours, and plenty of creativity. The activity was a fun, interactive way to express individuality while enjoying great conversations and sharing plenty of laughs with new friends. The outstanding designs that were created were spectacular! The students really had an amazing afternoon, something that’ll be memorable, personalised for them to take home!
International Lunch:
To end our fabulous week off, our campus came alive with flavours from around the world as students shared delights from their home countries for International Food Day! It was a wonderful opportunity to honour the incredible diversity that makes our school so unique. With students and staff representing cultures, languages, and traditions from every corner of the globe, there’s no better way to celebrate our shared richness than through the universal joy of food.
