And when it comes to finding work as a student or working holiday maker, there are few better tickets to employment than real barista skills.
That’s exactly what the Lexis English Barista Course in Brisbane delivers. Over two intensive weeks, you’ll go from coffee amateur to café-ready, learning every skill you need to land a job. That means not just how to make a great latte, but how to handle cash, take orders, deal with customers and operate as part of a real café team.
This isn’t a classroom simulation. This is hands-on, real-world training, delivered in the heart of the Lexis Brisbane campus, where students are learning to serve real customers in the school café.

What’s it like to study at Lexis Brisbane?
Lexis Brisbane gives you a true city experience while still feeling personal and friendly. The campus is right in the CBD, less than a minute from Central Station. There is a ‘free city bus’ stop right at the front door, so it’s easy to get to from anywhere. Public transport fares are capped at 50c per trip in Brisbane, so it’s a very cheap option for getting around.
The school building is modern and bright, with large classrooms, a student lounge, café, kitchen space, and panoramic views of the city skyline from the upper floors.
