Activity Recap: Aussie Food Tasting, Uno & SUP

Plenty was happening outside the classroom last week at Lexis English Noosa.
On Wednesday, students enjoyed an Aussie Food Tasting session, sampling some classic Australian treats. Thursday’s UNO afternoon brought plenty of fun and friendly competition, while Friday’s SUP session gave students the chance to get out on the water and enjoy Noosa’s beautiful surroundings.
These activities are a great way for students to make friends, practise English, and experience the local lifestyle.

Aussie Food Tasting
Vegemite was, of course, a must-try at this week’s Aussie Food Tasting activity. Students also sampled other Australian favourites including Tim Tams, Milo, Shapes, lamingtons, party pies, Anzac biscuits, and the classic fairy bread. Along the way, they learned some Aussie slang, discovered new flavours, and compared their favourites with classmates from around the world.

Let’s Play Uno!
Thursday’s activity brought plenty of laughs and friendly competition with a game of UNO No Mercy. Students quickly discovered that this version comes with a few extra twists and surprises, making every round unpredictable. It was a great opportunity to relax, socialise, and enjoy some fun with classmates outside the classroom.
SUP
Friday afternoon was all about getting out on the water with a Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) session on the Noosa River. On a sunny day, students enjoyed gliding along the calm water, taking in the scenery and making the most of Noosa’s beautiful outdoor lifestyle. It was a relaxing and fun way to finish the week.
