About Lexis English

A global institution: six campuses across Australia, and a family of schools worldwide.

Our story

About Lexis

Founded in 2004, Lexis has grown from a single school in Noosa into a leading international education group, with campuses across Australia and operations in Japan and Korea.

Lexis delivers language programs, vocational education, teacher training, junior study tours, and specialist short courses to students from around the world. Across every campus and every program, our focus remains the same: delivering exceptional education and exceptional student experiences.

Despite our growth, Lexis remains proudly family-owned and independently operated. That matters, because we believe education is personal. Students are not numbers, and choosing to study overseas is one of the biggest decisions many will ever make. Over the last 22 years, more than 55,000 students have trusted Lexis with that decision. We never take that trust for granted.

At Lexis, students benefit from the strength, experience, and stability of a major education group, while still receiving the personal care and support that comes from an experience built around people.

A message from our Managing Director

Director’s message

When we opened our first school in Noosa in 2004, the vision was simple: create a school that delivered excellent education, in great locations, with a genuine focus on student experience. We were excited back then to share some of Australia’s ‘best kept secret’ study destinations with our students, offering the best of both the cities and some unexpected beach resort campuses.

More than 20 years later, that vision has not changed.

Lexis has grown significantly since those early days. Today, we operate across Australia and Asia, welcoming students from all over the world into our schools and programs. But despite that growth, Lexis remains a family business at heart, and that remains one of our greatest strengths.

In an industry that can sometimes feel increasingly corporate, I believe the human side of education matters more than ever.

We understand that our students are placing enormous trust in us, often far from home, often making one of the biggest investments of their lives. That trust is something we work hard to earn every day.

What I am most proud of at Lexis is not simply our growth, but the culture we have built: one that combines academic quality, personal care, and a genuine commitment to helping students achieve their goals.

Thank you for considering Lexis. We would be proud to welcome you to our community.

Pre-Covid I was studying there and after Covid, the school finished online lessons suddenly and did not refund to me at all just give lesson credit (like a voucher valid in a year or something ) which is useless. Poor air conditioning in the building. Too cold. Might be fixed already I am not sure. Most of teachers are fine and excellent but a very few teachers put me low-prioritised weirdly sometimes or push students their politic preference.
