Kangaroo Point river walk and lookout:
Lexis Brisbane students kicked off their week with a scenic river walk, following the winding paths along the Brisbane River. As they explored, they admired the city’s vibrant skyline views and stopped to check out a few local art displays dotted along the walkway. The group also spotted some native wildlife in the nearby bush—colourful birds and water dragons. With the mix of city energy and natural beauty, it was the perfect way to connect with classmates, get some fresh air, and appreciate the unique charm of Brisbane.
Yoga Session:
Midweek brought a focus on mindfulness and well-being with a rest and reset yoga session centred on breathwork and mental clarity. We took the time to slow down, focus on their breathing, and release the stress they had built up during the week. The session also encouraged everyone to set personal goals and reflect on ways to stay balanced throughout their studies. Gentle stretching exercises helped ease tension from sitting in class, and the session concluded with a peaceful meditation, leaving everyone feeling calm, refreshed, and re-energised for the days ahead.

To wrap up the week, the group headed to Eat Street, Brisbane’s famous riverside food market, which was buzzing with excitement for its 12th birthday celebrations. The night was filled with special performances, live music, and an incredible variety of international street food and local craft beers. We had fun trying dishes we’d never tasted before, while others sampled food from their home countries to see how it compared—most agreed it was pretty close, giving it a solid 4 out of 5!
As the night came to an end, we caught the ferry home just in time for sunset, watching the sky turn pink and gold over the river. Along the way, bats swooped overhead, adding to the magical evening atmosphere. Natanael, who knew a lot about mammals and wildlife, even shared some fun facts and tips on what creatures to look out for along the riverbanks. It was the perfect end to a week full of learning, laughter, and unforgettable Brisbane experiences.
