Lexis Brisbane Campus Exciting Activities: Hiking up to see the Brisbane skyline, Mini Golf, Sausage Sizzle, Games in the park!
Recently, at Lexis Brisbane, our activities have focused on friendship, adventure, embracing the vibrant city lifestyle, and celebrating the amazing term we have had. We believe learning extends far beyond the classroom, giving everyone the chance to practice English naturally while forming meaningful connections and creating unforgettable memories with their friends.
From exploring and hiking up to the summit of Brisbane’s iconic mountain – Mount Coot-tha, to competing against one another in a tough game of Mini Golf, playing football in Roma Street Park and having our Sausage Sizzle for our End of Term Fun in the Sun! – These activities allowed students to mix and mingle, introducing themselves and uncovering interesting facts about their classmates, turning their English practice into a lively and enjoyable experience.

Mount Coot-tha:
We set off on Wednesday for an outdoor adventure — and not just any walk, but a hike up one of Brisbane’s most iconic mountains, offering spectacular views across the entire city! Despite the heat, everyone powered through and did an incredible job. A huge shout-out to our hike leaders, Juan, Estelle, Tatjana, and Ali, who kept spirits high, guided us along the right track, and motivated everyone with their infectious energy. We also cannot forget Can, who made sure everyone who wasn’t as confident walking over branches and down dirt roads was helped and lent them a helping hand, making sure they got over and out safely! Thank you, Can!
When we finally reached the summit, we celebrated with well-earned ice creams that melted almost instantly — Brisbane’s heat is no joke right now! It was a tough hike, but an unforgettable experience for all.
Mini Golf:
On a quieter afternoon, we visited Holey Moley – Holey Moley is a fun mini-golf venue filled with bright, quirky, and creative themed courses. Each hole is inspired by popular movies, TV shows, music, and memes, making it feel like mini-golf mixed with a playful funhouse. Taizan was crowned our Mini Golf Champion, scoring not 1 but 2 hole-in-ones! Close tied second was Juan and Niklas. Then coming in 3rd was Saho, and 4th was Simon!

End of Term Sausage Sizzle:
We wrapped up the term with a classic Aussie arvo at Roma Street Parkland — a well-earned sausage sizzle to celebrate everyone’s hard work. The BBQ was sizzling with sausages, buttered bread, tomato sauce, and plenty of fried onions, making it a true Australian feed.
Hana and Rei’s class helped set up and cook for the whole campus, with Jeff and Tom taking charge of one of the grills and Yukie, Tomoki, Shimon and Mari working side by side to keep the sausages and onions coming. Students even formed a “bread and butter train,” keeping things fun and efficient. Over at the drink station, Toko, Chisa, and Reina kept cups topped up with juice, ready for the rest of the campus to arrive.
The sun was shining, the football came out, and a round of keepy-uppies kicked off — with Desiree stealing the show and proving exactly why Brazil is famous for its football talent! Our UE speakers set the vibe with hits everyone loved, creating the perfect atmosphere to finish the term together.

Thank you to everyone who joined these fun activities!
