Noosa – Delicious Aussie BBQ in the park! – 13th March

On Monday we had a classic Aussie BBQ with all of our amazing students and teachers!

From backyard barbeques to beachside picnics, Aussies love nothing more than firing up the grill and cooking up a storm. So to help give our students the full Australian experience, we held a classic Aussie BBQ in the park. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, and the snags were delicious. (P.S if you didn’t know, “snag” is slang for “sausage” here in Australia).

Overall, it was a very relaxed afternoon for everyone, enjoying the sunshine, good food and great company!

Noosa – Exciting Table Tennis Tournament! – 8th March

Our students enjoyed watching and participating in our exciting Table Tennis Tournament yesterday!

The new ping pong table at the Noosa campus has become very popular! Our students love to play on their breaks and after school, making it a very much-loved activity at our campus! So it was only fair to organise a Table Tennis Tournament for the students to put their talents to the test. 

In the end, we crowned the winning student, Keito! Keito is quite experienced in the game of table tennis as he plays Table Tennis as a competitive sport in Japan. Well done Keito! 

It was a great way to spend the afternoon engaging in some friendly competition!

Last Friday’s activity, we combined the two most delicious things, wine and cheese!

Wine and cheese tasting is a delightful culinary experience that brings together two of the most beloved indulgences of food lovers everywhere. It is an art form that has been perfected over centuries and involves the careful pairing of various types of cheese with the perfect wine.
Wine tasting is a refined art that involves the careful examination of wine’s taste, aroma, and texture. A good wine taster can detect the subtle nuances of different grapes, vineyards, and production techniques that go into making a particular bottle. Similarly, cheese tasting is an art form that involves carefully examining cheese’s flavor, texture, and aroma.

One of the best ways to enjoy wine and cheese pairing is to host a tasting party. And that is exactly what we did here at Lexis English Noosa! There’s no better way to end the week than socializing with friends and sipping on some cold beverages.

Wednesday’s student activity was a beautiful walk through the iconic Noosa National Park!

Yesterday, Skyla led a group of our students from our campus to Noosa National Park for a relaxing afternoon stroll. The weather was perfect as the sun was shining and had a light, onshore wind to keep us cool whilst walking. Noosa National Park is a very special place. It’s a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike, with its breathtaking landscapes, crystal-clear waters, and diverse flora and fauna.

Noosa Festival of Surfing!

The Noosa Festival of Surfing is an iconic event that celebrates surf culture and is the largest event of its kind in Australia that attracts people from all over the world! The festival will celebrate its 32nd anniversary in 2023, with the festival running from Saturday 4 March to Sunday 12 March 2023 (inclusive).

Taking place in a world surfing reserve, Noosa Heads, the festival has been around for decades and is a must-attend event for anyone passionate about the sport or for anyone who enjoys a good time.
The festival is more than just a surf competition. It is also a celebration of the surfing lifestyle and culture. Throughout the week, there will be a variety of events and activities, including live music, film screenings, art exhibits, and workshops.
