Noosa – Beautiful BBQ in the Park – 22nd May

Yesterday afternoon, Lexis Noosa put on a classic Aussie BBQ for the whole school to enjoy! 

We gathered the school together to celebrate our students and teachers finishing the end of their study books and finishing the study term! Our hard-working students spend 10 weeks in their classes making friends, building relationships and learning lots of English. After 10 weeks, depending on their improvements, most students get the opportunity to move up a level and into a new class. As a celebration of their achievements and to enjoy one last hoorah with their fellow classmates, we held a school BBQ for everyone to enjoy.

At Lexis Noosa, we have the pleasure of meeting so many incredible students that we remember long after they leave us. Today, we are spotlighting exactly one of those students; Leandro Blasetti or ‘Coco’. He’s only been with us for 7 weeks so far, however from the moment we met him, it was almost like we’d known him forever. Coco is so friendly and loves having a good ol’ chat to absolutely anyone as this helps improve his English. He’s high on life and feels extremely grateful for every opportunity he gets, and this is why we love Coco!

On Wednesday afternoon, our Cambridge students and friends went on a beautiful afternoon cruise along the Noosa River.

Last Wednesday, was a perfect autumn afternoon as the sun was shining, the air temperature was beautiful and there was absolutely no wind. A picturesque afternoon to enjoy a sunset boat cruise along the Noosa River.  A boat cruise along the Noosa River offers an opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the area up close. The river is lined with lush greenery and mangroves, and there are many sandy beaches and secluded coves to explore along the way.

For this afternoon’s activity, our students decorated their own mini pavlovas! 

Pavlova is an Australian dessert that is often served at holiday gatherings like Christmas, and on special occasions. It is light and airy, making it a refreshing and elegant dessert for the warm, Australian weather.
Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert that is crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.

Noosa – An Amazing Afternoon Exploring with the Cambridge Students – 5th May

Last Friday, after a week of hard work for the CAE and CPE classes, it was concluded with a walk through the Noosa National Park and a trip to the beach.

Although the Autumn weather was a little gloomy on Friday, our Cambridge teachers Phil, Eileen and Anette took their classes to the beautiful Noosa Heads where they explored some of Main Beach, Noosa River and parts of the Noosa National Park. 

Starting with a 20-minute walk from campus, our students walked down the hill to the iconic Hastings Street. Hastings Steet is quite famous and is known for its beautiful beach, luxurious hotels, restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, galleries and its vibrant atmosphere.

This afternoon’s student activity was a beautiful walk through the iconic Noosa National Park!

This afternoon, Skyla led a group of our students from our campus to Noosa National Park for a relaxing afternoon stroll. The weather was perfect as the sun was shining and had a light, onshore wind to keep us cool whilst walking. Noosa National Park is a very special place. It’s a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike, with its breathtaking landscapes, pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and diverse flora and fauna.

This morning we welcomed 7 lovely new students to Lexis Noosa! 

This week, 7 lovely new students are beginning their studies with us in Noosa.

We gave a warm welcome to our new General English students, and we are so excited to see them all improve their English throughout their time here!

Our starters this week are: Quentin and Samuel from Switzerland, Rodrigo from Brazil, Kento and Suketora from Japan and Mehmet and Sertkaya from Turkey. Welcome everyone!
