If you’re planning to study English at Lexis Manly, there’s a good chance you’re also planning to work while you’re here. The good news? Manly is one of the easiest places in Australia to do both, and to do them within walking distance of each other.
Located right on the beachfront, Lexis Manly sits in the heart of one of Sydney’s most vibrant hospitality and retail districts. Cafés, restaurants, pubs, hotels and surf shops surround the school, and most students find jobs within just a few minutes’ walk of their accommodation and classroom.
In fact, many of our students walk out of class, turn the corner, and start their shifts.

This week, our students set off on a city adventure through beautiful Sydney! We spotted the iconic ‘Benny the Seal’ chilling by the harbour and got up close with some awesome reptiles at a surprise show. Only in Australia would you meet a local seal and a crocodile in the same afternoon!
From beach volleyball to bowling battles and a sunny pizza picnic – this week at Lexis Sydney-Manly was packed with laughs, teamwork, and unforgettable moments.
Lexis Sydney is located in Manly, one of the best-known beach suburbs in Australia. You get all the benefits of being close to the city without being stuck in it. The campus is absolutely right on the beach (the only beach front school in Australia!) with views out over the ocean and a steady stream of salty air and sunshine. You can watch surfers between classes and be in the water a minute after school ends. In season, you can see whales jumping, even when you’re sitting in your classroom!
The school itself has modern classrooms, shared lounge spaces, and a terrace that’s popular for lunch breaks and afternoon hangouts. The atmosphere is lively but friendly. Because it’s in Manly, the school attracts students who want the best of both worlds. You’ve got ferries into the city if you want to explore Sydney, but everything you need is right here—cafes, gyms, shops, bars, and of course the beach.
It’s a great location for students who want to learn seriously while enjoying the lifestyle that Australia is famous for.

This week at Lexis Sydney – Manly, our students enjoyed a series of fun and creative afternoons, from decorating their own personalised tote bags to teaming up for puzzle challenges. It was the perfect mix of good vibes, creativity, and connection!
Last Friday, our students had an epic time watching a football game at a local stadium. Our Lexis crew brought the energy with loud cheers and good vibes all night!
This Wednesday, our students took a midweek break with a fun beachside picnic here in Manly! It was a perfect afternoon to relax, soak up the sun, and enjoy great company while making new friends.
