Beach Games Competition at Manly Beach: Fun, Sun & New Friends!
One of the best things about studying at Lexis Sydney-Manly is having the beautiful Manly Beach right on our doorstep – in less than a 1 minute you can go from your classroom to the goldens sands of one of Sydney’s most iconic beaches. It’s the perfect spot to relax after class, go for a swim, or join in on some beach games with your classmates. Whether you’re playing or cheering from the sidelines, it’s a fun and active way to enjoy the sun, make new friends, and practice your English in a relaxed, social setting.
Today we hosted an exciting Beach Games Competition, where the group was split into two teams to go head-to-head in a series of fun and energetic challenges. Our students embraced the spirit of teamwork, friendly rivalry, and laughter as they competed on the beach. It was the perfect way to relax after class, soak up the sunshine, and bond with classmates from around the world.
Sandcastle Speed Build:
First up was our Sandcastle Speed Build, a fast-paced challenge where teams had just 15 minutes to create the tallest or most creative sandcastle they could. The students buzzed with energy as they dug, shaped, and sculpted with impressive creativity and teamwork. With such imaginative and well-built sandcastles on display, picking a winner was no easy task!
Water Relay Challenge:
Next up was the Water Relay Challenge, a fun and fast-paced game that had everyone on the move! Players from each team dashed to the ocean, filled their cups, and raced back to pour the water into their team’s bucket. It was a test of speed, coordination, and teamwork – with plenty of laughter and splashes along the way. The first team to fill their bucket claimed the winning point!
Throwing Challenge:
The competition continued with our Throwing Challenge, where players from each team took turns launching an object as far as they could from behind a marked line. We had cheers from the sideline as each student threw their objects. The team with the furthest throw earned the point, making it a thrilling test of strength, technique, and luck!
