Last week was an Action Packed Week of Fun Activities at Lexis Noosa!
For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Thursday’s Activity – Surfing Lesson!
This week, our students enjoyed an unforgettable surfing session on Noosa’s beautiful Main Beach. After class we went down to Merrick’s Learn to Surf Noosa, owned and run by former World Champion and two-time Australian Champion, Merrick Davis. With perfect weather, gentle waves, and warm sunshine, it was the ideal setting for both beginners and more experienced surfers to hit the water. Laughter and cheers filled the air as students practiced their balance, learned new techniques, and celebrated every successful ride. For many, it was their first time surfing, making it an exciting and memorable challenge. Surrounded by Noosa’s stunning coastal scenery, it was not just about catching waves, but also about sharing smiles, building confidence, and creating great memories together.
Friday’s Activity – Noosa River BBQ!
On Friday, our students spent a relaxing afternoon enjoying a classic Aussie BBQ by the Noosa River. With the sun shining and a gentle breeze coming off the water, it was the perfect spot to gather, share delicious food, and soak up the beautiful scenery. The smell of sizzling sausages filled the air while everyone chatted, laughed, and played games on the grass. We even got to try some kangaroo steaks! Some students took a stroll along the riverbank, while others simply enjoyed sitting under the shade of the trees, watching boats and paddleboarders glide past. It was a laid-back and memorable afternoon, celebrating good food, great company, and Noosa’s stunning riverside charm.
