Today, we’re thrilled to highlight Aiane’s journey at Lexis Sydney – Manly! Since beginning her General English course in February, she’s made fantastic progress, built lasting friendships, taken part in exciting activities and excursions, and made the most of every moment.

Why did you chose Lexis Sydney – Manly?
Aiane, a talented social media influencer from Brazil, spent six months studying at our Sydney – Manly campus in the General English course. When she first joined us, she was placed in the Elementary class – but just last week, she graduated with an Intermediate level of English! What an incredible achievement in such a short time. Aiane arrived with only a basic understanding of the English language, and now she speaks with confidence – an inspiring transformation.
She also shared why she chose to study at Lexis Sydney – Manly:
“I chose this school because of its amazing location, relaxed beach vibes, and the great reviews from other students. I loved that the school was right on the beach – it was so beautiful every day looking out at the ocean! But I also liked how close the city was too. It really was the best of both worlds”
What have been some of your greatest memories while being a student here?
Aiane had an unforgettable experience at our Sydney – Manly campus and shared some of the moments that made her time here so special:
“One of my favourite memories was meeting people from all over the world. I made amazing friends from many different countries – and from Brazil too! It was such a unique and fun environment where everyone supported each other, both in and out of class. I also really enjoyed the school activities. The monthly BBQs were my absolute favourite – they were a great way to relax, laugh, and spend time with friends by the beach. The vibe was always so fun and friendly. But honestly, one of the best parts of studying here was just exploring Sydney. There’s always something to do, and I especially loved discovering all the beautiful beaches. From Manly to Bondi, I felt like I was in paradise!”
Aiane truly made the most of her time at Lexis, building lasting friendships, embracing new experiences, and creating memories that will stay with her long after her English journey.
How much has your English improved since you first started studying in Sydney?
Aiane shared how proud she is of the progress she’s made during her time at Lexis Sydney – Manly:
“I’ve improved so much in every part of my English – grammar, speaking, listening, writing… everything! When I first arrived, I only knew the basics, and now I can have real conversations and express myself with confidence. I’m really happy with how far I’ve come, and I know it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible teachers I had. They were always supportive, patient, and made learning fun. I’m so grateful for their help throughout my journey.”
What would you say to students thinking about studying here?
We asked Aiane what advice she would give to future students considering Lexis Sydney – Manly, and here is her answer:
“If you’re thinking about studying at Lexis, go for it! It’s not only about improving your English, it’s about having a life-changing experience. You’ll meet people from all over the world, discover new cultures, and grow so much as a person. The location is amazing – you study right by the beach, and every day feels like a dream. The teachers and staff are so supportive, and there are always fun activities and excursions to join. I’ve made beautiful memories here that I’ll carry with me forever.”
Aiane’s journey is a great reminder that learning English can be the beginning of something so much bigger – a chance to explore, connect, and create unforgettable moments.
What do you planned next after your time at Lexis?
Aiane finished her studies with us last week, so we were curious to hear what’s next for her after her time at Lexis and in beautiful Sydney. She shared her exciting plans for the future:
“I’ll be heading back to Brazil for a month to visit my family and friends – I’m really looking forward to spending some quality time with them after being away for so long. Then, I’ll be coming back to Sydney to begin a VET course in Leadership and Management. This new course will help me continue improving my English while also gaining professional skills that can open up more career opportunities in the future. I’m excited to keep learning and growing here in Australia!”
