Our students enjoying the awesome view of the Opera House!

This week, our students set off on a city adventure through beautiful Sydney! We spotted the iconic ‘Benny the Seal’ chilling by the harbour and got up close with some awesome reptiles at a surprise show. Only in Australia would you meet a local seal and a crocodile in the same afternoon!

Sydney, a city that never sleeps, is a vibrant hub of culture, adventure, and natural beauty. Our students got to see first-hand some of the iconic landmarks of Sydney including the Sydney Opera House, and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Exploring these iconic landmarks offers our students a captivating journey through the city’s rich history and stunning architecture.4 5 E1752824297501

We all started with taking the ferry ride from Manly Wharf just a 5 minute stroll away from our campus. The ferry ride from Manly offers a spectacular panoramic view of the city skyline, with the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge coming into view as you approach Circular Quay. The fresh sea breeze and the sparkling waters create a sense of tranquility, while the iconic landmarks ahead build anticipation for the arrival in the heart of the city. This ferry ride is not just a mode of transport; it’s an essential part of the Sydney experience, offering a unique perspective on the city’s beauty for our students.2 3 E1752824373934

As we walked along Circular Quay we reached our first destination – a secret lookout of the Sydney Harbour. Our students gathered around to explore the stunning exterior, with the iconic landmarks in the background that truly embody the spirit of the city. As we looked out at the view, our students were immediately captivated by the breathtaking sights with the vibrant blue sky and sparkling harbour. The group took time to wander around the outside, snapping photos and appreciating the beauty.3 2 E1752824397451

We then ventured around the iconic Sydney Opera House, taking in its stunning architecture and breathtaking harbour views. As we strolled along the waterfront, we were lucky enough to spot Benny the Seal lounging on his usual perch near the steps — a true local celebrity! It was a magical moment that perfectly captured the charm and surprise of exploring Sydney.

To finish off our city tour, we headed to Opera Bar, a popular spot located just outside the Sydney Opera House with incredible views overlooking the harbour. As we relaxed with a drink and soaked in the scenery, we were surprised by an unexpected reptile show happening right there at the bar! Students got up close with snakes and lizards – a truly Aussie experience!

It was an exciting and interactive experience that brought plenty of laughter, surprised reactions, and lots of photos. For many, it was their first time seeing these unique Australian reptiles up close, making it a memorable and unexpected highlight of the afternoon. It was a truly Aussie twist that added a fun and wild element to an already unforgettable day in the city!17 1 E175282497927514 1 E1752824915846
