Awesome Night Out: Watching an Epic Rugby Match at a Local Stadium!
Last Friday, our Lexis students had an unforgettable Aussie experience – cheering on our local rugby team the “Manly Sea Eagles” as they faced off against the “Wests Tigers” in a thrilling football league match at our local stadium! The energy was pumping from the moment we arrived. Our Lexis crew brought the energy with loud cheers and good vibes all night!
For many of our students, it was their first time watching Australian football live, and what better way to dive into Australian culture than at a packed stadium full of passionate fans, and team chants echoing through the air. The night was a huge success with almost 17,000 people at the stadium, making it an exciting evening for everyone!
It was a great opportunity for our students to meet outside of class, get to know new faces, and feel part of something truly local. Watching a live game together gave everyone a chance to bond in a more relaxed, social setting. Students from different classes, countries, and levels all came together with a shared goal: to enjoy the night and experience a real part of Aussie culture.
There were plenty of laughs, loud cheers, and even a few friendly debates over which team to support. Events like this really help break the ice and create lasting memories beyond the classroom. It’s not just about learning English, it’s about building friendships, sharing new experiences, and feeling at home in a new city.
