Our students enjoyed a mindful Yoga session and learned about the benefits for physical and mental well-being.
Yoga is a popular physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated 5.000 years ago in India. The International Day of Yoga on June 21 aims to raise international awareness of the many benefits, next to physical strength it cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in everyday life which can help reduce stress.
Yoga consists of a series of poses, meditation, controlled breathing and other techniques, perfect for any age and physical fitness level.
Our brave students flew around the world to reach their individual goals. Without their family or friends around, surrounded by a language that they haven’t mastered yet and a culture that is very different to their beloved homes, this time can be challenging and overwhelming. To celebrate the International Yoga Day we invited our students to get on their mats or towels and take a moment to progress. Our lovely Valentina has guided the students through the Yoga basics and created a place of soft sounds, natural smells and calmness for our students.
They learned about breathing techniques and Yoga poses, they got the chance to reflect on their time in Sydney, their achievements and the present moment. Many students have already benefited from our previous Yoga sessions and continued practicing at home. It was great to see students come together and take care of their overall well being.
We appreciate you all joining the Yoga session and hope your Yoga journey has only just began!
Thank you to everyone who joined the amazing Yoga session!
