Today we celebrated the diversity of our students and discovered international cuisines
We are proud of our international Lexis Manly family, currently we have students from 26 different countries studying with us. While the main goal for their time in Sydney is to improve their English and learn about the Aussie culture, they end up learning so much more during their time at Lexis. They get to meet people from all over the world, discover other cultures, languages and histories. We love seeing our students be curious and open minded towards other cultures and form these amazing friendships with people from different countries.
To celebrate our international students and learn more about their home countries we enjoyed a fun international food day today. All our students got to discover and share each other’s culture and cuisine. Our campus was turned into a food heaven, a different country to discover in every classroom.
We got to try amazing food from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Mongolia, Peru, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Venezuela. Our students were so excited to share stories about their homes and favourite national dishes. It was amazing to see everyone connect and exchange – what a great way to form new friendships and practice their English speaking skills.
