Free workshops and fun at Lexis Manly

Free workshops are available to enrolled students 3 times a day. The workshops are teacher led and are packed with practical tips and guidance in the following subject areas:

  1. Conversation Club
  2. Pronunciation Club
  3. Grammar workshop
  4. Homework Club
  5. Business English
  6. Accommodation search, and
  7. Job search workshop.

Every Friday in summer there’s a beach sports activity at lunch time. If it is raining we will arrange a dance activity or games. All enrolled students are encouraged to join. It’s a great way to meet students from other classes. Gather in the Student Lounge on Level 2, at 1pm.

Students can also join large and small group tours through our travel agent. Coming events include day-trips to the Blue Mountains and tandem sky-diving. Scan the QR code in the back of your Student Handbook and on posters in the Student Lounge. Lexis Sydney overlooks the world famous surf breaks of Manly Beach. It delivers academic excellence in General English, IELTS Preparation, Cambridge FCE and CAE. The college is open 13 hours a day Monday-Friday. Average class sizes are 12-15.

Manly and surrounds

Positioned between the city and Sydney’s spectacular Northern Beaches, Lexis Manly students enjoy a temperate coastal climate, the varied work and social opportunities of Australia’s largest city, and a laid-back beachside lifestyle.

The college is a short ferry ride across the iconic harbour from Sydney City – its galleries, museums, nightlife, sports venues and shopping.

From Manly, students can access the historic Hawkesbury River, as well as the beautiful Garigal and Kur-in-gai Chase National Parks. Sydney Harbour National Park is within walking distance of the college, as is Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve (a paradise for snorkelling).

Other activities are; kayaking, hang-gliding, paragliding, camping and river boat tours, picnic and bushwalking areas, Aboriginal cultural tours, horse-riding, rock-climbing and some internationally known mountain bike trails.
