Last Thursday some of our students got together for a lovely afternoon, participating in ‘Stone Mandala Painting.’
The students each received a stone collected locally and some paint markers to create some beautiful artwork.
Mandalas signify the universe and turn pain or suffering into joy and beauty. In Buddhism the creation process is connected to meditation. Painting and colouring mandalas is a process that invites you to think, relax and be creative.
Some opted for the more traditional mandala style, whilst others created work based around their favorite animals.
The students relaxed, listening to music, chatting and inadvertently practiced their English skills!
