Last Friday students experienced a traditional Australian lunchtime, a Sausage Sizzle, prepared by our teacher and former professional chef Paul.

Part of the fun of learning a foreign language is learning new customs and sayings. “Sausage Sizzle” was a fun, new term and experience for many of our students.

There were vegan sausages for our several vegan staff and students.

Students had the choice of white or multigrain bread, and Tomato, Mustard or BBQ sauce.

A true sausage sizzle is not complete without grilled onions.

The smoke in the air and the aroma of onions and sausages were delightful.

The students loved our great Australian tradition of a sausage sizzle and eagerly look forward to the next one!
It was Junior’s birthday on the weekend and to celebrate he generously brought in his own homemade Brazilian desserts and some refreshments for everyone.

He made multiple carrot cakes and lemon tarts.

It was a delicious way to finish the lunch and celebrate Junior’s birthday, as well as Taiga’s birthday.

Preparing and sharing a lunch together is a great way to practice your language skills.
