Byron Bay – Jewellery Making – 30 November 2022

 

We had a great turn out for our jewellery making activity. Students showcased their creativity and skill making beautiful bracelets, anklets, necklaces and rings.

Jewellery MakingStudents had a variety of materials at their disposal including cotton embroidery floss and wool threads, fishing line, copper wire, shells, charms, gems, beads and other trinkets.

Marina and Hamilton played some Brazil music for ambience while everyone got to work making their jewellery.

There was an extraordinary turn out of students to make friendship bracelets. The final results looked beautiful and showcased the diverse styles and aesthetic preferences of our students.

According to Folklore, when attaching a friendship bracelet, you should make a wish in that moment. It should then be worn until it is worn out and falls off by itself to respect the love put into making it. When the band falls off naturally, the wish is supposed to come true. Continue reading…
