What: Fire in the Sky - Cotton Tree

Description: Hot 91 Heritage Bank Fire In The Sky with thanks to Edge Early Learning is back Sat 18 January 2020! Help us raise money for Drought Angels – supporting Australians through natural disaster.
All the free family fun takes place at Cotton Tree Park from 2pm, kicking off with a live broadcast from Hot 91’s Dave, Sam & Ash. Enjoy the food and market stalls, great local talent onstage and our side show alley. The band Flaskas will close the night after our water-based fireworks display at 8pm. What: Ginger Flower & Food Festival
When/Where: Saturday 18 January – From 9am – The Ginger Factory
Description: Join us from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th of January 2020, for the Ginger Flower and Food Festival! Now in its 24th year, the festival promises to delight the senses with three spectacular days of food, flowers and entertainment celebrating the best of the Sunshine Coast region.
The Ginger Factory will burst with colour and flavours, showcasing an exquisite range of ornamental gingers and heliconias, which thrive in the Sunshine Coast’s sub-tropical conditions. Popular presenters Soil to Supper’s Cath Manuel and Horticulturalist, Paul Plant will again share their words of wisdom during the informative garden talks over the three days.
The Festival will be packed with an exciting line-up of Sunshine Coast chefs. They will be highlighting all that is fresh to the Sunshine Coast and how these ingredients pair so well with ginger.
All the food and fun that the Ginger Factory is famous for will also be on offer, including their Ginger Town shopping, Ice-Creamery, Live Bee Show*, rides* on Moreton the ginger train and Overboard boat ride.
