Graduation: Saying Goodbye to Our Graduates
Goodbye Wonderful Students!
Friday, January 24th, 2025
Yoshi from our Elementary Class!
You may recognize Yoshi from our Christmas concert blog post, where he shared some of his wonderful dance moves to accompany the Christmas carols! What you saw sums up Yoshi to a tee. Yoshi is a fun, adventurous and bubbly student, always giving us a laugh and making everyone smile. Yoshi has been with us for 8 weeks and in that time, I don’t think I have seen him without a grin on his face! We are sad to see Yoshi leave but never fear because he is going to stay around the Sunshine Coast for the next 3 months, exploring, working and having fun! We wish Yoshi all the best for his future and look forward to seeing him around the coast!
Irene from our Advanced class!
It was such a pleasure to have Irene on campus with us for the last 8 weeks. She has been incredibly friendly and dedicated to her studies, always saying hello and helping out the other students in class. Irene will be going back to Italy in the near future but for now she is going to set off for her travels down to Sydney! Irene is excited to experience the bustling city and all it has to offer for the short time she is there. We are very grateful to have had the pleasure of getting to know Irene and we wish her all the very best in the future!
Luciana from our Cambridge Focus class!
Luciana is one of the smartest and most beautiful people we have ever had the pleasure of teaching. Luciana is currently here with her husband Rinaldo as they take a short break from university lecturing in Brazil! We have learned so much from Luciana and feel so lucky to have had her around the campus. Luciana and Rinaldo are about to take off to Perth in order to meet with another university lecturer from Australia to potentially organize a cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural study in the field of Biology and Ethics. After travelling Perth for a short time Luciana and Rinaldo will make their way back to Brazil where they will pick up where they left off! We are going to miss Luciana’s presence in the school but wish her all the best in the future!
Finally, from our IELTS class we are saying goodbye to Rinaldo, Maria, and Carlos!
Maria has been with us for a whopping 7 months, and in that time she has achieved everything she set out to do through hard work and unwavering dedication. It has been fantastic to see Maria grow, not only in her English mastery, but also in her confidence in her abilities. Maria is incredibly friendly and always has a smile for everyone on campus. Maria will be going on to further study here in Australia, after a short but much-needed holiday! We will miss seeing Maria around the campus but hope we will continue to see her around the Sunshine Coast. We wish you all the best Maria!
Rinaldo, as I mentioned earlier, is here with his wife Luciana from Brazil. Rinaldo is also incredibly smart, constantly achieving high scores throughout his time here at Lexis. Rinaldo fits right in on the Sunshine Coast with his relaxed attitude and easy smile, you would be forgiven for thinking he is a local! Rinaldo is off to Perth with Luciana now before heading back to Brazil to continue teaching Portuguese at university! We will definitely miss having Rinaldo around the campus but we look forward to seeing where the life of a university professor takes him next! We wish you all the best in the future Rinaldo!
Last, but certainly not least we are sadly saying goodbye to Carlos! Carlos has been in Australia for over a decade now and it is easy to tell that he has taken his English mastery learning very seriously, as he is fast approaching proficiency, to the point where he almost sounds like a native Australian! It has been great getting to know Carlos over the two weeks he has been here, and we are so sorry to see his time unexpectedly cut short. We wish Carlos all the best in his future and hope to see him around the Sunshine Coast again!
Goodbye for now but never farewell!
