A New Taste and New Mates: Beer Tasting Fun at Lexis Sunshine Coast

Australia’s rich brewing culture with a beer tasting experience

 

This Friday afternoon was a lively one here at Lexis Sunshine Coast, as students from around the world gathered to dive into Australia’s rich brewing culture with a beer tasting experience they won’t soon forget! Our international students, excited to discover Aussie favorites, found themselves in a room filled with laughter, great music, and the flavors of some of the country’s finest brews.

As we kicked off the activity, students learned about different beer styles, from the crisp lagers that are perfect for the beach to the richer, hoppy IPAs crafted in Australia’s top breweries. Our tasting tour included some classic Aussie picks: XXXX Gold, a go-to for its light and refreshing taste, Little Creatures Pale Ale, known for its fruity and floral notes, and Coopers Sparkling Ale, a true Aussie classic with a deliciously malty finish.

The magic of the afternoon wasn’t just in the tasting; it was the joy of connection. With each new sample, our students shared their thoughts, swapped stories from their home countries, and made new friends. By the end of the activity, the room was buzzing with energy, and our Lexis community felt a little closer and more connected.
