Hospital & Aged care cleaner
We are currently seeking applications from EXPERIENCED commercial cleaners who can work between the hours of 6.15 am – 8.15 pm Monday to Sunday.
Some of the duties, could include the following:
- working in our aged care facility – cleaning residents rooms & bathrooms, dining and lounge rooms as well as other associated areas
- could involve working in our on-site laundry, washing /sorting/delivering resident clothes, etc
- You MUST be physically able to undertake these duties
- using commercial polisher, steamer, and other associated equipment
- cleaning carpets in patient rooms
- scrubbing responsibilities in the kitchen
This is a multi-task role. You need to be EXPERIENCED, flexible, competent, able to work without ongoing direct supervision & physically capable of undertaking these physically demanding responsibilities.

Work Practice
- To assist as directed in all aspects of the Food Services Area.
- Perform work thoroughly and effectively
- To implement hospital policies and procedures
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and infection control practices
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
- Carry out duties as direct by the Food Services Coordinator or delegate as indicated on the roster.
- Maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times
- Maintain good communication with colleagues.
- Maintain good communication within the service area, utilising effective communication skills.
- Participate in team building within the service area and within the hospital
- Demonstrate effective communication both orally and written
