Farewell to Myriam and Johan, the perfect couple

Johan Mican and Myriam Canon came to GV Noosa in May this year and have been inseparable since their arrival. After getting married in Colombia they spent a month in Sydney before coming to Noosa where they have both been studying English full-time.

JohanAlthough they are sad to be leaving Noosa, they are excited about returning to their family and friends in Columbia.  Johan has successfully completed Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and IELTS, while Myriam has done Intermediate, IELTS and Upper Intermediate courses.

Claiming that Queenslanders are harder to understand than New South Welshmen due to more liberal use of slang, they both agree that their own English has dramatically improved during their stay.

After months of studying English and working as cleaners at Global Village, they hope to return in a couple of years to see the rest of our beautiful country. “We would love to come back and travel around Australia in a camper van, to see the Outback and Darwin, Western Australia and Tasmania! This has been an extended honeymoon for us but now it is time to go home.”

Preferring each others’ company over large groups or parties, Johan and Myriam have made many friends during their stay and hope to keep in touch with all of them.

We wish them all the very best for the future… see you on Facebook guys!
