Today we welcomed 10 new students to Lexis English in sunny Byron Bay.
Our new starters from Japan, Chile, Spain, and Portugal
Victoria – or as she introduces herself ‘Victoria, like the queen’, is studying English full time at Lexis Byron Bay for the next 6 months. She is looking to further her career with improved English speaking skills. Victoria is eager to learn and do well and we think she will be a great student here.
Carla has arrived from Spain to develop her confidence with conversational English. She will also be studying at Lexis for the next 6 months, and wants to study hard to become a natural English speaker.
Maria Teresa is a marketing professional from Spain, whose goal is to achieve a C1 level by graduation. She loves to live a healthy lifestyle which is why she chose Byron Bay to study in. Teresa scored into the Intermediate class upon entry and we will help her work towards her academic goals for the next 18 weeks.
Catarina is Portuguese and lives in the French part of Switzerland. She is a primary school teacher and has joined Lexis English to help her begin her Masters in Children’s Rights. Catarina scored in Upper Intermediate already, and we are here to help her develop those skills further to find work in her industry.
Shintaro has come to us from Japan to study English at Lexis Byron to achieve his goal of living in America. He loves to dance, sing and listen to music and has learnt most of his English so far from music lyrics. We look forward to helping him improve his reading and writing skills over the next 12 weeks.
Seina also hails from Japan, where he is a bee and mango farmer. He has come to Australia to ‘change his life’ and we are happy to a part of his journey. Seina is also a part of our homestay programme which he is enjoying!
Angel is from Valencia, Spain and wants to work towards becoming a vet in Australia one day. He loves our wildlife and has already taken up surfing, so he adopting the Aussie lifestyle well. Angel will be studying for the next 6 months, to work towards his career goals.
Luis is also from Spain, and travelling with friends through Australia. He will be studying English at Lexis Byron for the next 6 months, and is eager to make an efforts to improve his skills.
Juan is our new arrival from Chile. He is a has studied Business and wants to gain advantage in the Finance industry by improving his English skills. He will be studying with us for 18 weeks and bringing a lot of enthusiasm and energy to the class room already.
Maki is our lovely Japanese student who has transferred from Lexis Sydney. She has moved to Byron to enjoy a change of pace from Sydney life, and has joined the Pre-Intermediate class today. We look forward to having her with us for the next 6 weeks.
Our students were all invited out to a body boarding session at Clarke’s Beach this afternoon by the lovely Katie from Let’s Go Surfing – the sun is out in Byron and we are very happy to see it!
