This week, we welcome four new students: Marcos and Marta from Spain, Wawa from Thailand and Jennifer from Germany.

Marcos is from Spain and he likes Byron as it reminds him of his home town in Galicia. He wants to improve his speaking, particularly his pronunciation. He currently works in administration but his dream is to become a sales manager and he’ll need to have good spoken and written English to achieve this.
Marta has has always dreamed of living and studying abroad and has come to Byron Bay to study English before starting a vocational course in Sydney. She loves the beach, watching the sunset, and all kinds of sport such as roller blading, yoga and surfing so Byron is a perfect fit for her.
Wawa (Suphanika) is from Thailand and will be with us at Lexis for a year! Luckily, she says she loves Byron already and is working in town as a masseuse. She has joined our Elementary class today.
Jennifer has come over to stay with her best friend, Nadia (who also studied at Lexis many years ago) and she will be with us for two weeks. Although Jennifer’s speaking and vocabulary are good, she wants to improve her grammar as she is out of practice. In Germany Jennifer works as a teacher and also a special make-up artist. She said that the art galleries around the local area are giving her lots of inspiration.
We are looking forward to better getting to know all our new students over the next few weeks. And, of course, to watching their confidence in English improve too.
Learn English in Byron Bay. Lexis English students study General English, IELTS, FCE, CAE, and English plus Surfing and Yoga in a friendly and professional school right in the heart of Byron Bay and only 15 minutes from the beach.
