It’s a very hot day in sunny Byron and we welcomed 5 new students to our school.
Pol is from near Barcelona, Spain and has tested in our Upper Intermediate class. He has completed his FCE prior to arriving in Australia and hopes to enter the CAE intake in September. He is a gardener/landscaper by trade and enjoys relaxing in nature, and has already taken up surfing.
Ibuki is from Japan and enjoys surfing and nature and sports. She is here to begin her journey of learning English at Lexis and seems to like our lifestyle already. She was an active participant in our afternoon cricket match this afternoon.
Yukiko is also from Japan, and has been a teacher for 14 years. She chose to study at Lexis Byron because the area is known for its healing nature and kind people. Yukiko has wanted to study abroad for many years and has finally made that dream a reality – welcome!
Aida is from Spain and studies Marketing and Advertising. She wants to do her Masters next which requires a good level of English which is why she has travelled to Australia. She chose Byron because of the country lifestyle and chose Lexis because of it’s reputation for English classes.
Dhullyene likes to be called Dhully(like Julie) and has come to Lexis Byron Bay from the Canary Islands to study English. She is a speech therapist and has come to Australia specifically to learn “this English” so that she can then understand “all types of English”.
We are happy to have all of our new students here with us, and the sun has welcomed them in classic Byron form today.
