On Friday, Lexis Byron Bay, said goodbye to just one student, Alba Sanchez Ruiz from Spain. Alba has been studying at Lexis English since the end of of January and enjoyed both the face-to-face and online lessons.
When I presented her certificate earlier today I asked what she had enjoyed most about her time at Lexis English and she said it was conversations with her teachers and classmates and all the speaking activities she did in class. She said that she’d also really enjoyed studying in the online classes with Kathleen as she was such a patient teacher and worked so hard to make the lessons useful and interesting. I also asked Alba what she liked most about Byron Bay and she said the relaxed vibe, the people and the environment. We certainly do live in a very special place here.
Kathleen, Alba’s teacher said everyone would “miss the awesome Alba. In the online classes, she was always one of the first to join – virtually sharing her muesli or toast with us 🙂. During her time at Lexis English, Alba really improved the range of her vocabulary and the fluency of her speaking. Combined with her lovely sense of humour, this made her a great partner in speaking activities. Alba worked very hard in class and self-study and graduates from the Intermediate class with an ‘A’ grade!”
Congratulations, Alba, and best wishes for the future – hopefully you’ll get to Sydney before you return home.
