Lexis Noosa Activities: September 21st – 25th
Last week was an excellent week for student fun at Lexis Noosa! For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning, and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Wednesday 23rd September: Volleyball @ KB’s

Wednesday was a great day for students to use their sportsmanship and compete against each other in volleyball. It was a great afternoon for everyone and an amazing opportunity to practise their English and socialise with their classmates. Our next sporty activity is football this Wednesday. Make sure to sign up!!

Thursday 24th September: Yoga

On Thursday, a few of us went down to the Noosa River for a yoga lesson! The weather was absolutely beautiful, so it was a perfect afternoon to practise calmness in the middle of a busy week. We even had a visitor!! At the end of the lesson, we noticed that a Kookaburra (native bird of Australia) was sitting on the tree watching us.

Friday 25th September: Aussie Food Tasting

Vegemite was, of course, a must-try at this week’s Aussie Food Tasting activity. Students also sampled other Australian favourites including Tim Tams, Shapes, Lamingtons, Ginger Beer, Anzac biscuits, and the classic fairy bread. Along the way, they discovered new flavours and compared their favourites with classmates from around the world. Vegemite wasn’t so popular though……

Thank you to everyone who participated in last week’s activities. I would love to see you all again this week! This week’s activities are:
Wednesday: Football
Thursday: Boomerang Painting
Friday: Stand-up Paddleboarding
See you all there, and have the best week at Lexis English Noosa.
