Last week was an excellent week for student fun at Lexis Noosa! For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning, and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Football
On Wednesday we played football at the Lions Football Club. What a beautiful day for it! Our player of the day was Phillip for his defensive skills! Our next sporty activity is Table Tennis tomorrow afternoon.
Boomerang Painting
On Thursday we painted boomerangs! Our next sporty activity is Table Tennis tomorrow afternoon. A boomerang is a wooden tool crafted by Aboriginal Australians thousands of years ago, famous for aerodynamic designs that can cause the tool to spin back to the thrower. Our next crafty activity is Henna this Thursday!!
Stand-up paddleboarding on the Noosa River!
Friday afternoon was all about getting out on the water with a Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) session on the Noosa River. On a sunny day, students enjoyed gliding along the calm water, taking in the scenery and making the most of Noosa’s beautiful outdoor lifestyle. It was a relaxing and fun way to finish the week.
Student Night Out – Pub Crawl!
Friday evening was our student night out! A big group of us spent Friday evening pub-crawling around Noosa’s best pubs, bars, and clubs. We visited Halse Lodge, New York Minute, KB’s, and Four Pines. It was a great night for Student fun, and we already can’t wait till the next one!!
