G.I.L, it’s an acronym that you may have seen on the walls in the classrooms or heard other students talking about. But, what exactly is it and why is it important?
G.I.L stands for Guided Individual Learning. It is essentially an opportunity for you to come with any language based questions and have them answered by a teacher. An opportunity for you to revise crucial bits of grammar, essential vocabulary and key pronunciation with the guidance of someone who knows the best way to elicit the information.
Think of it like a study session. An hour session for you to become acquainted with the complexities of the English language while having the explained in an easy to understand manner.
The session is great for a couple of reasons.
- You have the opportunity to study in a quiet and balanced environment where everyone is focused on achieving their goals.
- If you have burning questions, you can ask the teacher who will help explain and elicit what you need to know.
G.I.L, is on every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 2pm in the study room. Make sure you bring your homework or lesson material to study and any questions that you might have.
We’ll see you there.
