On Friday, Elizabeth’s Intermediate class went on a full day excursion to visit some of the great town surrounding Byron Bay.
They started at the famous Mullumbimby Farmers Market where they chatted with lots of well-known locals including Kool the hula hoop pineapple man and Chad Wilkins a local musician.
All the students had to complete a questionnaire, asking three different market-goers about their likes and preferences at the market. They also got to do some shopping of their own.
After the market, they moved onto another local town, Brunswick Heads in search of fairies!
In September 2015, gorgeous little fairy houses started springing up all over the town. Today over 30 little fairy houses hidden in little nooks and crannies make up the Brunswick Heads Fairy Trail. And the fact that they are all hidden away just increases the delight for both young and old when they are discovered.
Our students split into two groups each with a different trail and hunted down as many houses as they could find.
Finally, the group met up by the river in Brunswick to share food and fairy house photographs and also to celebrate Katherine’s last day at the school
