Yesterday, Mel’s Pre-Intermediate class studied the past continuous (e.g. he was washing his car) and, afterwards, practised it by doing an activity in groups of 5. One person had to turn around and not look at the group while the rest of the group had to mime an action written on a card. The group then had to freeze their action and the person not looking turned around and guessed what they were doing using a past continuous sentence.
Can you guess from the photos what the actions were?

ANSWERS: #1. Cleaning the windows, #2. Eating pizza, #3. Drawing a picture
We also played Bingo on Tuesday to practise irregular past simple verbs. 😀
