Today our Happy Student at Lexis Byron Bay is Pit!

Tell us a little about yourself:

I’m from Thailand and I’ve been living in Byron Bay for 2 ½ years. I went to Perth and the Gold Coast, but I didn’t like it so I returned here, to my home. It’s breathtaking here. My plan is to apply for a 3 year yoga course so I can keep staying in Byron Bay.

Why did you choose Byron Bay?

Byron Bay is a bit country, but in town. It’s very lively. I love this situation – it’s very comfortable to live here. It’s just 10 min by bike or you can walk. The nature is beautiful and makes me feel very relaxed when I’m here. It’s not stressful and the people are very nice.

What were your weaknesses in English before you came to Australia? Tell me more about your teachers and your classes.

My grammar and pronunciation were my weaknesses (they still are, but better than before!!). My teachers – all of them – are focussed on my weakness points and try to fix me; but it’s not easy to change my nature!!

When I’m studying here in Byron Bay, I feel a heart to heart connection – the teachers, the students and the clients at work. It’s different from the other places I’ve been.

What are your favourite things to do in Byron?

I love to go to the beach, relax and swim.

What is your most magical moment in Byron?

It’s ALL magical. It’s made me really happy here.

What do you like most about Lexis Byron?

I feel every teacher loves to teach, to give to everyone. I can feel it all the time when I study here. Studying here is like me home, also. I can laugh every day. I enjoy learning and it’s not too stressful. The teachers are very amazing.
