Meet our Student of the Month, Valentina!
Valentina is one of our afternoon students from the Intermediate class, she is from Colombia & today we interviewed her as our Student of the Month!
Why did you decide to come to Australia?
I decided to come to Australia to improve my English, so I can access more opportunities in my Home Country, Colombia.
For how long have you studied, and are you planning to study more?
I’ve been at Lexis for 16 weeks so far, I plan to study until October this year and then I would like to extend my Visa so I can enjoy exploring more of this beautiful country.
What do you like about the Sunshine Coast?
Trinity of course, but also I enjoy the beaches & relaxed lifestyle that I get to live on the Sunshine Coast. Every Friday I enjoy getting to go out with my friends & go to the beach on the weekend, I love it!
Have you tried surfing or other sports?
I haven’t tried surfing yet, because I am a little bit afraid of sharks, and I am not a strong swimmer. I would like to try Aerial Silks while I’m here, as I’ve heard there are many great aerial gyms on the Sunshine Coast!
Is there somewhere in Australia you would like to visit?
I would like to visit Melbourne & Sydney because they are the big cities in Australia. I would love to see the Sydney Opera house in person! Also I have heard great things about the art gallery in Melbourne. I’d also love to go shopping in the big city!
If you had to give a tip to future students, what would it be?
Don’t worry about your English level, because you will improve if you study hard & you practice your skills every day. Don’t be afraid to make new friends, everybody is very friendly and fun.\
