Noosa – Under 8’s day at Noosaville State School – 21st June

On Friday, Emily’s Pre-Intermediate class visited Noosaville State School for Under 8’s Day. This marks the second year teacher Emily has brought her class to this event, and we were thrilled to be invited back.

The Pre-Intermediate students engaged the children in various activities, including Origami, Kendama, making string phones, creating flags representing our students’ countries, and skipping rope.

The Lexis students also had the opportunity to interact with the children, their parents, and even the Queensland Police.

Everyone did an excellent job, and we look forward to hopefully being invited back next year.

What is Under 8’s Day?

Under 8’s Day in Australia is an annual event that celebrates the importance of early childhood education and care. It is observed on a specific day determined by each state or territory, typically in May or June.

The day focuses on children under the age of 8, their families, and educators, highlighting the importance of early learning through various activities, events, and community engagements. It aims to raise awareness about the needs of young children and to promote early childhood education programs and services.

Schools celebrate Under 8’s Day with a variety of activities, such as picnics, sports events, art and craft sessions, and educational workshops.
