Welcome to the eight new starters studying General English at Lexis Byron Bay!
Stefania is from Switzerland and will be here with us for 8 weeks before travelling Australia. She is a social worker for people with disabilities. She likes travelling and speaks Italian, French and Spanish. She is wanting to improve her English for her travels.
Nanae is from Japan and her parents live in Kobe near Osaka. She has an older sister and a younger brother who works in Tokyo. She used to work for a company that sells Japanese used cars to Africa and lived in Africa for 4 years to set up new offices there. She then lived in the Republic of Djibouti helping refugees from Yemen. She wants to improve her English so she can continue to help people at risk.
Luca is from Switzerland and enjoys swimming and chilling with his friends. He is 22 years old and has a brother who is 25 years old. He wants to study English in Australia as he likes the nature and beach here!
Lukas is from Switzerland and lives with his parents and two older sisters. He is interested in a lot of sports, particularly mountain biking and skiing in the mountains. His greatest passion is riding his motorbike. He works as a mechanic making precision parts for special machines and prototypes. He wants to study English in Australia because of the weather, amazing landscapes and also so he can learn to surf!
Sarah is from Switzerland and lives in a small town near Basel. Her biggest hobby is horse riding which she has been doing since she was about 8 years old. She also loves to read all kinds of books. She wants to study English in Australia because of the beautiful landscapes and to be by the beach! After she finishes studying at Lexis she will visit family friends on the West Coast.
Carine is from Switzerland and lives with her mother, father and brother. She is really interested in travel and learning about other countries cultures, that is one of the reasons why she is here in Australia. She is very happy to be in Byron Bay as it is so beautiful and she is hoping to learn surfing. She also enjoys wake boarding and skiing. After she has completed her studies at Lexis she would like to do a road trip in Australia, New Zealand and maybe Asia.
Naoko is from Japan and has transferred to Byron Bay from Lexis Gold Coast, where she completed the FCE course. She is here with us for 4 weeks doing IELTS.
Kyoung Joo is from Korea and is happy for you to call him Luke Lee. His biggest hobby is to travel. His major is cooking and he worked for 4 years as a chef. He wants to study in Australia because of the good studying system here that will also allow him to work part time. He is wanting to improve his English so he can get a higher paid job in Korea.
