Lissette joins us from Chile! She is 30 years old, and she enjoys surfing and photography. She has a small coffee shop back home and studied graphic design. Her goal here is to improve her English skills and then travel around Australia with her partner. Welcome, Lissette!
Michele comes from Switzerland! She is 23 years old, and she enjoys playing volleyball, reading books, and spending time with family and friends. She studied to become a speech therapist and has been working at a school for 6 months. She would like to study English in Australia because she loves its landscapes and animals, and she also enjoys how easy-going Australians are, as well as the surfing vibe of Byron Bay. Nico comes from Switzerland! He is 25 years old and enjoys outdoor activities like climbing and fishing. He chose Byron Bay because of its nature, animals, and surf culture. Welcome, Nico!
Ryota comes from Japan! He is 20 years old, and he likes to play basketball. One of his dreams is to watch the NBA in the USA. He wants to make friends from around the world, and at Lexis, he definitely will. Welcome, Ryota!
Nicolas comes from Switzerland! He is 18 years old and loves doing lots of sports and spending time with friends. He would like to study English in Australia because of the warm weather, and because he wants to study at university in English, so he needs to improve his skills. Welcome, Nicolas!
Emilie comes from Belgium! She is 32 years old and has lived in the north of France for the last 13 years. She would like to improve her English skills to increase her chances of getting a job in an international company. Welcome, Emilie!
Zoe comes from Switzerland! She is 19 years old and loves outdoor activities like hiking, diving, and skiing. She chose Australia to improve her English because she enjoys the beach lifestyle and also wants to meet people from around the world. Welcome, Zoe!
Christian comes from Switzerland! He is 28 years old and enjoys outdoor activities like climbing, skiing, and surfing. He loves to surf, and that is one of the main reasons why he chose Byron Bay. Welcome, Christian!
Ayu comes from Japan! She is 20 years old and works as a nurse in Japan. She used to study English at school, but she wants to improve her level. Welcome, Ayu!
The day kicked off early with everyone gathering to take their placement tests. This helped us figure out their English levels, making sure they’ll be in the right class to get the most out of their time here.
After the tests, the students joined Rita for an orientation session where she gave them all the information, they need about the school and what’s ahead. They also got to meet Luke from Let’s Go Surfing and Chiara from Dundee. Luke shared some cool tips about the local surf scene, and Chiara talked about weekend trips and activities around Byron Bay. It was a great way to set the tone for an exciting and diverse adventure.
Next, the students joined their new classmates for the last hour of the morning class. It was a great way to ease into things and get a feel for the learning vibe here at Lexis. Then it was lunchtime—the perfect chance to chill out, grab some food, and start making new friends.
