Last week was an Action Packed Week of Fun Activities at Lexis Noosa!
For our students, it’s important to unwind during a week of English learning and our activity programme is the best way to do so. Every week, we do activities together on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to showcase the best of what life in Noosa is like. Our activities range from arts and crafts to watersports and from karaoke to yoga, with a whole load of Aussie culture thrown in there too. Here’s a glimpse of what activities we got up to last week:
Wednesday’s Activity – Local Art Gallery Visit
On Wednesday, we made the short trip to the Noosa Regional Gallery in Tewantin to enjoy some exhibitions put on by local artists based on the Sunshine Coast. It was a relaxing afternoon taking in the artwork and enjoying the afternoon.
Thursday’s Activity – Noosa Festival of Surfing
On Thursday we went down to Main Beach to enjoy the Noosa Festival of Surfing. Each year you can enjoy food, drinks, markets and best of all, you can watch some of the region’s best surfers strut their stuff on the waves. A few of us made our way to the beach totake in the surfing on a sunny Thursday afternoon.
Friday’s Activity – Games and TCA drinks
On Friday, to bring in the weekend and blow off some steam we enjoyed a few drinks and a few games at school before heading over to enjoy the happy hour at The Culinary Academy. It’s always fun to head over and enjoy some delicious cocktails made by our fellow students as they learn to be bartenders.
