While we had to say goodbye to 20 of our students last Friday, today we celebrated the arrival of 28 new students.
Every week is different at Lexis Manly, not only in terms of activities, excursions and study materials but most importantly in our class dynamics. Every Friday we celebrate our graduations by the beach and share a last afternoon with students we have gotten to know well over the past months. Every graduation is emotional, while we focus on celebrating our students hard work and exciting plans for the future there is no denying that goodbyes are never easy on anyone. It is great to hear how much they have discovered, the memories they have made and how proud the graduates are of their progress. It fills our hearts with joy to know these students have made the most of their time here and made memories for a lifetime at Lexis Manly.
Our graduates are about to jump into a new adventure and while they have already made a lot of memories and amazing progress in their English skills, for our new students the journey is only just starting. The first day is often intimidating, not seeing any familiar faces, surrounded by a new language and culture, miles from home. Today we welcomed 28 new students from Japan, Germany, Brazil, Hungary, France, Taiwan, Italy, Turkey, Mongolia, Switzerland, Colombia and Spain – ready to achieve their English goals and make the most of their time in Sydney. We have no doubt that everyone will settle in quickly, form friendships and make new experiences.
Until the day of our new student’s graduation, we will make the most of the time together and can’t wait to get to know everyone better.

Free workshops & fun at Lexis Manly:
Free workshops are available to enrolled students every day. The workshops are teacher led and are packed with practical tips and guidance in the following subject areas:
- Conversation & Pronunciation Workshop
- Study Help
- Job Workshop
- Accommodation Workshop
The workshop schedule changes every week and is updated on Mondays. Look for these posters around campus and scan the QR code:
Fun at Lexis:
Every week, we have fun and unique activities activities for our students to enjoy. These can include surfing, yoga, meditation, arts & crafts, painting and many more. Every Friday, we have beach sports or another activity at lunch time. All enrolled students are encouraged to join – gather in the Student Lounge on Level 2, at 1:15pm.
Students can also join large and small group tours through our travel agent. Scan the QR code in the back of your Student Handbook and on posters in the Student Lounge.
