Our TAP students are taking learning from the classroom out into the real world! Have a look at the fun afternoons.

After their successful morning classes, our TAP students (Teenage Activity Program) experience a range of sporting, cultural, social and sightseeing activities in Sydney.
In the first week we welcomed Chen-Yu & Oscar (Taiwan), the brothers Phasit & Sorrawee (Thailand) and Matteo (Switzerland). Together they discovered the stunning scenery of the Northern Beaches, Sydney’s famous sights, native art and traditions.

For the second week the group was joined by Chiharu & Hikari (Japan), friends Iris & Angelique (Taiwan) and Azmon (Israel), who joined the group for beach walks, created master pieces, visited art galleries and discovered Australian wild life.

SIGHTSEEING FUN – Discovering the beauty of the Northern Beaches
Manly Beach is one of Australia’s most famous beaches, best known for being the beach where the world’s first surfing contest was held in 1964. Nowadays Manly is known for its unique surf culture and lifestyle. To kick off their week the students discovered what Manly has to offer, exploring rock pools, incredible look outs and spending time at beautiful Delwood, Shelly Beach, Little Manly and Fairlight Beach.

CULTURAL AFTERNOONS – Discovering Sydney’s CBD and art exhibitions
The ferry between Manly and Circular Quay carries over 10 million passengers a year and now our junior TAP students got to experience the popular ride along the Sydney Harbour.
Once they arrived at Sydney’s CBD they discovered the famous sights, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, up close and made their way through Sydney’s city center to spend the afternoon at the NSW Art Gallery.

AUSTRALIA’S WILD LIFE – Discovering the local animals
Koalas, Kangaroos, Crocodiles, Wombats… unique animals that call Australia their home. The TAP students got a chance to meet all of Australia’s native animals up close at a wildlife zoo. The famous Toroga Zoo offers amazing views of Sydney’s Harbour while exploring the fascinating animal world – A special experience they won’t forget!
CREATIVE AFTERNOONS – Spending a creative afternoons together
The boomerang represents the Indigenous Australians link to the country and a symbol for their long presence on this continent. Today our students learned about the difficult history of Australia and had a chance to get creative.

The TAP program is a great opportunity to not only improve the language skills, but also get to form friendships and learn about different backgrounds. After a week of fun activities exploring, our students stayed on campus to create unique friendship bracelets for their new friends and families at home.

ACTIVE AFTERNOONS – Discovering new talents
Unlike the rest of the world, Australian winters offer blue skies and sunshine so we took our students out to discover hidden talents. They spend an afternoon mini golfing and learning how to through their hand painted boomerangs – with success!
Chiharu (16), Hikari (15), Angelique (15), Iris (15), Phasit (17), Sorrawee (14), Matteo (15), Azmon (13), Chen-Yu (16), Maxence (16) and Oscar (14) have started off as strangers and will now share incredible memories for the rest of their lives. These first 2 weeks of the TAP program have been a blast, it’s special to us getting to know every student individually and witnissing them not only imporving their language skills but also exploring Sydney and making the most of every day.
We can’t wait for the upcoming weeks with you all and look forward to welcoming the new TAP students who will join in over the next weeks.
