Why did you choose to come to Australia?

I wanted to travel and needed to learn English. My friends recommended Australia as it has great weather and is an interesting country.

 Why Global Village Noosa?

It was difficult to find a school that was wheelchair friendly, GV Noosa is. Also, I wanted a small friendly place on the beach as I love the sea.. Noosa has been perfect, the people are so friendly. After the first week I knew the shop people and the bus drivers and they always greeted me. Also I quickly made friends in the Koala Bar and Irish Pub. I wasn’t one of a thousand people.

 Has your English improved?

The school is very cool. The teachers are good and it is easier to learn than in Switzerland. There were lot’s of jokes and games in the classroom.

 Tell me about your excursions.

I really wanted to go to Fraser Island and the tour company said it was not wheelchair friendly and they couldn’t take me. Nadia, the student officer here made lots of phone calls and persuaded Trail Blazers to take me.It was just fantastic. Some of the students went with me and Rafael carried me on his back at times. Keith, the tour guide was wonderful and I had the best time.

 What will you do now?

I am going to Sea World on the Gold Coast this weekend to swim with the dolphins. They have given me a special price. This is one of my dreams come true. Then I am going travelling for 6 weeks on my own. I will start on the Barrier Reef and then go inland but it is not all planned yet.  I really have had the best time ever and I want to return again

Corinne, you are an inspiration to us all. Have a wonderful trip around Australia and come back to us again.
