Chiara, from Zug caught up with me on her last day at Lexis Perth, to let me know about her time with us at Lexis Perth. This is what she had to say…
I have been studying at Lexis Perth for ten weeks. At the moment I’m in the Upper intermediate class which has been fun. The teacher, Andy, was really nice and I have felt challenged in the class. I especially like the writing exercises that we did once a week in the class as I think they are really useful. There were lots of topics we could choose from and I liked being able to be creative and write about things of interest to me.
I have really enjoyed the activities in the afternoon in the school and I also really liked going to GIL. Sometimes it was difficult to choose which one to go to as they are both on after classes finish at 2pm, but I think I had a good mix of both. Â My favourite activities were surfing and Yoga, in fact my surfing is great now!
My homestay was great. I enjoyed the time there and I will really miss them. My host sister was more or less the same age as I am and we were able to do lots of different things together, for example we are going to Fremantle tomorrow and have done lots of different things like that. It’s been great.
The city of Perth is also nice. I like it because it’s not a huge city and it’s not far from the school to get into the city. The public transport works well and it takes about thirty minutes to get into the city from school. There are nice shops around and it’s a lovely city.
Overall, the school has obviously tried to help me develop my language. Everyone has been very helpful and have been more than willing to help me in whatever way they could.
Thanks Chiara, have a great trip home.
