Byron Bay – Fundraiser for the Australian Bushfires! January 20th – 24th

As part of Lexis Byron Bay’s efforts to raise funds for the Australian Bushfires, we have dedicated this week to the cause. We have a number of exciting ways to encourage students and staff to donate to our charity of choice… WIRES!

Wires

This week we are asking students attending all activities for a gold coin donation. As Australia Day is on Sunday we have based a number of activities this week on traditional Australian culture.

Wednesday we have Boomerang painting, which allows students to learn about Aboriginal art.

Thursday we have Craig Atkins teaching students about the Didgeridoo and what it means to the Aboriginal people of Australia.

Friday we have Aussie food tasting.

We also have our usual weekly Coffee Club and Yoga on Monday and Tuesdays and meditation on Wednesday morning!

Thursday we’re also holding a Sweet Exchange where students and staff make or buy a sweet of their choice and bring it in to school. Everyone then pays a $2 donation and can eat as much as they like.

SILENT AUCTION

Lastly we have our silent auction where students and staff may place a bid for one of 7 fantastic items.
