Carmen and her daughters arrived in Noosa at the end of January to study English and experience Australian culture. Carmen studied in our Cambridge Advanced Examination course and then our Cambridge Proficiency Examination class, whilst her daughters attended Peregian Community College.

What did you most enjoy about your studies?

Carmen:  The teachers. Rachel, Wendy and Kimm are wonderful teachers who work  hard to make their classes interesting and ensure that their students get the skills they need to pass the Cambridge exams. Having such a small group for CPE was wonderful because we developed a ‘camaraderie and trust’ that meant many wonderful discussions.

What are your favourite places in Noosa?

Carmen:  Main Beach and Mount Tinbeerwah are our two favourite places.  Our favourite restaurant is ‘Ma Mensa” in Hastings Street, because we love Italian food but we also enjoyed the curries at ‘The Magic of India’ in Noosaville.

What would you recommend doing whilst in Noosa?

Carmen: There are so many excursions to do that it is hard to say. The girls loved the ‘Ginger Factory’ and of course ‘Australia Zoo’. We also traveled north to see the turtles hatching and south to the Gold coast to experience the amusement parks there.
