Spring is coming to Sydney and so are the festivals and international students!

Here’s a selection of events 26-30 August that Lexis Sydney students can enjoy:

Encore Manly – until August 28

A music and comedy festival featuring 70 acts performing across 15 local venues. Tickets to headline acts like Boy and Bear, and You Am I are selling fast. Free live acts can be seen in many of the smaller venues and public areas.

Junipalooza gin festival 27-28 August

One of the world’s premier gin tasting festivals will make its Sydney debut at the historic Carriageworks cultural centre.

Meet the makers of more than 30 craft distilleries (Australian and International), who will showcase over a hundred varieties of gin. A favourite of London, Hamburg, and Melbourne gin enthusiasts, Junipalooza is certain to tantalise Sydneysiders.

Tickets include a souvenir tasting glass.

Your Street, Your Party in Angel Place, Sydney CBD – Saturday 27 August 

Gather your Lexis English Manly classmates for a street party in Angel Place Sydney! Enjoy live music, DJs, and roving performance artists, then chill out with a drink at Merivale’s pop-up bar.

Sydney’s queen of House, DJ Kate Monroe, will be there and DJ drag queen Hollywould will spin disco and cabaret. Picco Leo will be open for takeaway pastries.

Your Street, Your Party Angel Place is a FREE event – Midday to 7pm. If you want to kick on afterwards, take the party to Eternityland (see below).

Visit Eternityland at Barangaroo, 3 August – 10 September

Create your own adventure through the mythic world of Eternityland. Meet its kooky characters and take photographs in 20 Instagram-worthy sets.

This immersive experience combines theatre, circus, burlesque, and live music. Be as active or as passive as you wish, or simply enjoy the cocktails and snacks at D.L.M. – Eternityland’s very own speakeasy bar.

Fleurs de Villes FEMMES exhibition, Royal Botanic Gardens – closes 28 August

Now on at The Calyx in Sydney’s iconic harbourside Royal Botanic Garden, this floral art installation celebrates the lives of 16 remarkable women.

Dedicated to culturally, politically, and historically significant women throughout the ages, the exhibition features the work of Sydney’s favourite florists – Persephone, Blue Flowers, Don De L’Amour, Butchers Daughter, Art of Bloom, Buds & Bowers, Florada, Hayfever Flowers, Max & Co Floral Design, Moss & Bloom, Petal Bang and more.
