Sydney – A warm welcome to our 9 new students – 24 July 2023

We are excited to welcome our new students from Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Poland and Türkiye!

New Students

We would have loved to welcome our new students with a sunny winter day, but instead Sydney’s sky was covered by grey clouds and a lot of rain. Regardless of the dark day outside Haruki (16), Nozomi (20), Temma (16), Asami (27), Rodrigo (22), Mehmet (28), Gabriela (28), Andrew (16) and Nanami (20) were eager to get started and brought a lot of joy to our campus today.

We had a lot of young students starting their journey with Lexis Manly today, they were particularly nervous. It can be intimidating to be so far from home, in a room full of strangers and surrounded by a language you haven’t mastered yet. But it didn’t take long until strangers turned into friends, the students started exchanging and practicing their English. We admire how brave our new students are and know everyone will settle in perfectly. The group enjoyed a walk-and-talk through Manly in the afternoon and got to know the area and each other better.

We are looking forward to welcoming our new students back tomorrow to meet their classmates and teachers!

Our new students will join the following classes:

  • Intermediate: Asami Nomoto, Rodrigo Levindo Portela da Cunha Pereira
  • Pre-intermediate: Andrzej Roman Golos, Nanami Onuki, Nozomi Makihara
  • Elementary: Haruki Sato, Temma Katsuda
  • Starter: Gabriela Anahi Ormeno, Mehmet Cansiz

Best wishes!
